- Aikuisten osasto = Adult's department
- Lasten osasto = Children's department
- Musiikkiosasto = Music department
- Pääkirjasto = Main Library
- Hyllyssä = On shelf: item should be on the shelf. If the item cannot be located, contact library staff.
- Käsittelyssä = Not in circulation: item is either being repaired (old items), or it is being processed for circulation (new items).
- Varasto lainaus = stacks 1, 2 & 3. Numbers indicate the size of the item.
- Eräpäivä/Eräp. = Due: 18/06/2000: item is still on loan, even if the expiry date has passed.
- Matkalla = Going home: item has been returned to another library and is on its the way back to the owning library.
- Odottaa noutoa = Waiting (to be collected): item has been reserved and is waiting to be collected.
- Kadonnut = Lost: item has disappeared from the collection

- System-wide copies: indicates the overall number of copies in the library system
- Current level copies: indicates the number of copies in the owning library
- System-wide holds: indicates the number of reservations in the library system
- Local level holds: indicates the number of reservations in the owning library
- Search word (keyword): describes the subject of a book or other material, e.g. computing, biking
- ISBN: International Standard Book Number. Each edition of a book has its own ISBN. Full record: including publisher, keywords, ISBN-code etc.
- Reference library: reference material which cannot not be borrowed.
- Call number: classification number
- Copy: each book has its own copy number
- Title: the title of a book or other material
- Copy availability: shows each item’s call number, agency i.e. library, due i.e. due date, status e.g. reservations etc.
