HelMet-libraries

Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa City Libraries are all HelMet-libraries. They share the library materials, library card and the search catalogue.
You can use the same library card at all HeMet-libraries.
You can search for the materials which belong to the collections of HelMet-libraries with any computer that has an Internet connection. Children have their own version of the HelMet catalogue.
For instance if you borrow materials in Vantaa, you can return them in Helsinki.
If you make a reservation of the newest Captain Underpants in Helsinki and there is one available in Kauniainen, you’ll get that one. You can decide at which library you want to collect the item you reserved.
From the 1st of March, 2010 all kids under 18 are able to make reservations for free.
