DEVELOPING PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVICES FOR THE FUTURE
September 10-12, 2009
Helsinki, FINLAND
This conference was organized in partnership with Finland’s Ministry of Education. Participants from France, Spain, and the UK were invited to join their Finnish counterparts in a three day conference, which included a brief tour of a number of public libraries in the capital region. In addition to hearing accounts of the current situation for libraries in each country, there were also reports given regarding future trends and other aspects related to the future of public libraries.
